On Life Mottos and Foreign Grottos

grottoAt any given moment, I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.

That has been the guiding motto of my life for over a decade, and I plan to keep living by it. There’s a certain peace I get in trusting—and celebrating—the poetry and patterns of life.

In a month where I will find myself somewhere between six different states, I’ve been pondering the idea of places and spaces quite a bit.

Whether I’m sitting in my cube at my (admittedly awesome) job, heading out to another big city in the U.S. or traversing a foreign land near the sea, I am eternally comforted by the fact that it’s where I’m meant to be at that moment.

Those places and spaces I have been thus far have brought me great joys and enabled me to spend time with so many awesome people. Some planned, some not at all anticipated.

But perhaps the most exciting thing is that with all the places I have yet to go, and all the people I have yet to meet, I know I have only begun to scratch the surface of the wonderment that life has to offer.

While I have absolutely no idea what this journey has in store for me, I can already see that it will be filled with vastly more lands and characters than I yet dared to dream. I am simply thrilled, stoked and unbelievably ready for whatever comes next.

Stay curious, y’all. And stay open to the unknown, yet beautiful, paths that the universe has in store for you.

Happy trails.
